The Splendor of Christmas

It's almost Christmas and I am ready! I love this time of the season. There is no other time of the year that highlights so many of the things that are a blessing in life. Whether it be time with family, our commitment to giving, and most importantly recognizing the glory of our Savior, Christmas is an incredibly special time of year.  As in the past few years, our church will be celebrating with 4 performances of the Living Christmas Tree. This year we will be featuring the music found in Phil Barfoot's musical "The Splendor of Christmas". Our choir has worked diligently and the music they've prepared is dynamic. They've put that together with some great drama to produce a high quality Christmas presentation that I would highly encourage you to come to and be sure to bring friends and family! One of my favorite features in this year's presentation are the songs which feature some dancers, particularly one song that will feature a series of couple performing some beautiful dances in tuxedos and formal dresses as the choir sings. It really should be beautiful!

Another exciting addition to this year's presentation is the release of our choir's newest cd! I've been listening to it and I've been blown away! The cd is the same music they'll perform during the presentation and so I would really encourage you to pick one up starting Thursday night, when they go on sale, and add it to your Christmas music rotation. It will be well worth it.

The four presentations begin tonight as well as tomorrow (Friday) night at 7pm and then will also be performed on Saturday and Sunday nights (12/6 & 12/7) at 6pm.

In the spirit of the presentation, and to help you understand just how good it's going to be, I've included one of the tracks of the new cd below. I hope you enjoy it and I hope to see you at the church one night this week!
