Sunday evening wrap up...

sunday-evening-wrap-up.jpg Well, according to our local power company, there are less than 3,000 people still without power in our city. That is a wonderful testament to their hard work. Tracy and I have been very impressed by the diligence of the local workers who have worked long, hard hours to put the city back together. I got the opportunity yesterday to work with the folks from the Missouri Baptist Convention Disaster Relief Team and the Red Cross volunteers who are hear feeding the workers in our area. I was very impressed! They are a wonderfully talented group of folks who work hard at taking care of our emergency workers during this difficult time. Missouri Baptists should be very proud of their Disaster Relief workers.

It was good to be in worship together with everyone this morning. We were missing about 150 of our normal folks, but we had a wonderful time of worship with the 500 or so who were able to make it. Chad and the Worship Team, as usual, did a wonderful job leading us together in worship. We enjoyed more public reading of scripture than usual this morning which I thought was a fantastic addition to the service. We've been trying to add more lately. I'm curious to hear if those of you who were there also enjoyed that part of the service?

Wasn't it fun to watch the Littlest Angels choir sing Christmas music? Other than my daughter who seemed infatuated with seeing herself on the screens, they all did a great job. Grace certainly provided some comic relief for us, though. :-)

I was also excited to welcome two new members this morning. It always enjoyable to watch as God adds more to the Frederick Family!
