Spurgeon Library Purchased
Midwestern Seminary, where I am currently enrolled, has purchased the personal library of Charles Spurgeon from nearby William Jewell College for $400,000. You can read the press release here.
As I love Charles Spurgeon, and as I hope that we can be much like him in regards to his passion for God, love for evangelism, faithfulness to church growth and commitment to authentic discipleship - I am ecstatic about this development. This is a good move in the life of Southern Baptist academia, in my opinion.
