I recently posted on a speech given by Barak Obama which seemed to have some positive qualities for evangelicals. In further study, I've found additional new quotes that are very concerning about Obama's thoughts in reference to evangelical thought, and particurlaly belief in innerant scripture. His claim is that we cannot come to the table with religious beliefs, based on scriptural precedent, but that we must value our pluralistic culture and come to the table with more than simply our beliefs, but we must come with beliefs that are valued and transcend religion for all people. You can read a shortened version of his statements, as well as a response by Al Mohler, here. Or you can read the entire transcript here.
