Nathan Finn, the associate archivist at Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina, continues to be a voice of sanity and reason in the cacophony of clashing ideologies that exist within the SBC. He has written a must read article on Southern Baptists' and the various streams of conservatives that exist within SBC life. He also goes on to presecribe some helpful ideas to help move us to reconciliation and expansion. His points are very well written. For me, in particular, as a pastor who leans strongly towards Reformed theology, I found his thoughts about Calvinism and dealing with Calvinists and non-Calvinists to be particularly helpful. Please read his article, it will benefit you in your relationship to the SBC. I am convinced of that.
