Exhausted, but grateful - an Easter Sunday recap

What an exciting day! There is no greater day of the year, in my opinion, than the day we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior! I am so excited about our worship today. Chad and the worship team outdid themselves leading us this morning. I don't know if I've ever been in a service as exciting, passionate and yet so Christ focused as ours was today. I am confident that the worship at Frederick Boulevard was as amazing today as that of any other church in America! It's also always fun to see the church full. I have not yet seen the final numbers, but after looking at preliminary data it appears that we had somewhere between 1100 and 1200 in worship which will be the largest attendance in our church's history! We are always grateful when we have opportunities to introduce more and more people to our Savior.

For me personally, the message was a powerful exercise in studying the effects of the resurrection. I love studying the resurrection, but this year it seemed especially powerful as I've been thinking much about resurrection over the past few weeks anyway. I pray that many were impacted by the truth of the Gospel today. The closing of the message, with the video we showed, was as powerful for me as any I remember. Those I talked to seemed pretty moved by it as well. I've included it below. The video I included, though, is the same video that we showed with an alternate ending. The exact video we showed doesn't seem to be available online.

Finally, it was nice to see our church get some positive publicity in the News-Press on Easter morning. The fact that it was the front page story was even more exciting. We had an inkling, earlier in the week, that it would happen, but didn't know for sure. We're always glad to get free publicity! :-) [to read the article, click here]
