A cranky old cynic

That's what I've become. I've been in school studying the same subjects for over 7 years now. I'm taking classes this semster that should really get me pumped (Biblical Hebrew, Principles of Preaching and Pastoral Care and Counseling) and yet I found myself this morning not even able to remember what classes I'm taking. I think I've just been involved in it for so long now that I'm starting to get a little "dulled" to the excitement of what I'm learning. I'm not sure if that's really a bad thing or not, though, because it does show that I've been engrossed in my field of study for some time which should indicate some form of initial mastery of the subject. The sad thing is I feel like every semester I get a little dumber rather than the other way around. Oh well, another semester is about to begin whether I like it or not so I might as well look forward to it.
