If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you? Well, since everyone else has been taking this tact, I figured I'd try as well. We realize that in the coming year we're going to have to purchase a new family vehicle. We currently drive a 99 Toyota Camry with 128,000 miles on it. Beyond the miles, however, it has become extremely small inside with two carseats and a plethora of baby stuff that goes with it. Our quandry has been what to buy. I like minivans because of their interior space, however Tracy is adamant that she's not old enough to drive a minivan yet. She wants an suv but I'm not a huge fan because there's not enough space inside of most of them, and the one's that do have space are gas guzzlers. So we believe we found a compromise. We rented a vehicle a while back and fell in love with it. It's the Chrysler Pacifica. While it's still pretty sporty and doesn't carry the stigma of the minivan, it also has room inside. It seats 6 and most that I've seen have pretty good power with a 250 horsepower and yet still gets pretty good gas mileage (in the low 20's.) All in all, it's a pretty sweet vehicle for a family vehicle. The only problem is that a good one with fairly low mileage is going to run right around $20,000 and so now the question is if we can find the cash for it. We'll have to see.
