Win a Free Trip to Israel!

I have the privilege of leading a group from Frederick Boulevard on a trip to the Holy Land February 14-22, 2011. Much like many tours that provide trips to the Holy Land, we have been given a few complimentary trips for our group. After spending some time trying to decide what to do with these trips, we decided that one of the best uses would be to help a couple pastors go to the Holy Land so that they can, in turn, share that trip with the church they serve. As we continued to think, it seemed to us that it might be most helpful to offer the opportunity to the pastor of a church who is small enough that they might not be able to send their pastor any other way.

So, in light of that, we are extremely excited to offer a trip for two small church pastors. Beginning right now we are opening up registration for one day for two pastors who would like an opportunity to win a complimentary tour of the Holy Land. The registration opportunity will close tomorrow evening, after which we will draw one name as the winner. We will then contact the winner and announce their name next week.

Before you register, please review the contest restrictions.

  1. In order to register, you must be the Lead Pastor of a church that averages 250 or less in attendance each week.
  2. By registering, you are making a commitment to take advantage of the tour. This is a rare opportunity and we do not want to see it wasted by presenting it to someone who is unable to take advantage of it. The trip is scheduled for February 14-22, 2011.
  3. This tour includes airfare from Kansas City International Airport, lodging, breakfast & supper each day as well as transportation & tour guide expenses while in country.

*Please note this means that the winner will be required to provide their own transportation to Kansas City in time to leave on the tour. The winner will also be responsible to purchase their own lunch each day as well as any souvenirs they may wish to bring home.

With all that being said, we are excited to make this opportunity available!

Thanks for registering, registration is now closed!

  1. I am the pastor of a church in Green Cove Springs, FL. We average in between 200-225 people. We have served here 5 yrs the 1st of November. It has been a hard journey, but the Lord has been faithful to us and taught us many lessons. At times we wanted to run but he would not let us. So we thank Him for allowing us the opporunity to serve and grow here in FL.

I have always wanted to go to the Holy Land. I have lately used our personal resources for foreign missions. So a trip like this would be a great opporunity and experience for myself but also to share with those whom I serve as well.
    Thanks for the consideration

  2. I am the pastor of a church that runs 70 in Sunday School and 92 in worship. I have been at this church for over six years. Thank you for the thinking of those of us who would not otherwise be able to afford this opportunity. Randy Miller, Emmanuel Baptist, Doniphan,mo

  3. Micah,

I would love to go on the Israel trip, see the sites, and have an opportunity to visit with you. However, the February dates are somewhat questionable for me plus, having never been, I would not feel right in going without taking my wife. Furthermore, with a little effort, I can probably afford to pay my own way. So, I will RESTRAIN myself and not register. Some other needy pastor should have this opportunity.

I praise the Lord for your generosity, though, on providing this trip for some pastor. May He richly bless you for being such an honorable steward.

    Have a great trip!

  4. Dear Micah,

We are members of a small Baptist church that averages less than 50 per week. I thought this would be wonderful for our faithful pastor and his wife. I’m not getting the impression that this would include his wife however, am I correct?

  5. Micah,

Is this only for the pastor or pastor and spouse? My wife really wants to go to Israel. If she is not included, will there be space for her and what is the price?

Great idea. Thank you for serving smaller church pastors.
