When tragedy comes, God is good…

This past Sunday we examined how a believer should approach pain, heartache and hurt in their life. Looking at Paul’s thoughts in 2 Corinthians 12 we learned that, while we don’t love the idea of pain, we love the Jesus we know in our pain. While we may not ever wish to experience hurt or heartache, like Paul, we can “gladly…boast” in our hurts knowing that they allow us opportunity to know Christ, treasure Christ and glorify Him in ways that nothing else can do.

In light of that, I want to encourage you to watch the video below. Zac Smith shares his story of tragedy – and instead of it being depressing, it is a story of incredible hope and satisfaction with a good and gracious God. I hope it will encourage you.

To God be the glory.

Micah is a husband to Tracy & a daddy to Grace, Kessed & Haddon. He’s Senior Pastor at Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN. Most of all, he’s a debtor to grace.
