Weekend Worship

This song has quickly become one of my favorite songs to sing in worship. We don’t sing it quite like they do on this clip from one of Saddleback’s worship teams. We actually generally use a style more reminscent of this. However, diversity is a good thing and beyond that the quality is better in this video. I hope you enjoy this and it gives you an opportunity to worship, just a bit at least, while sitting here at the computer.

**Another example of the many ways that blogging can be redeemed.**

Micah is a husband to Tracy & a daddy to Grace, Kessed & Haddon. He’s Senior Pastor at Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN. Most of all, he’s a debtor to grace.

I didn’t use either of them, but either one of them works fine. If you’re just purchasing the domain name, anything will work – they’re all usually pretty cheap – however if you are going to purchase an actual domain and host the site yourself, there are tons of options and some are much better than others. Let me know what you’re doing and I’ll help you find a good solution.

  2. Well, I noticed that GoDaddy had a $3.99 a/mo (for 24 mo.) package [thats pretty cheap], that gave 5 pages and 50 MB of space.

I am thinking about moving beyond just my free blog, to a website that contains not only my blog, but also a page for videos of my kids, another page for pictures, and maybe another page of suggested RSS feeds, etc. I’ve been kind of brainstorming about what I could do. I’ve been just putting videos on YouTube and posting them, but I’d like to host the videos myself…but I’m afraid 50 MB wouldn’t be enough. How much storage space do you have?

The GoDaddy account should be able to accomplish all that you want it to. As long as you’re not the web version of CBS you should be ok. I have probably 30-50 videos on my site right now (that are all 30sec. – 3 minutes) and have plenty of space left over and my plan is just slightly larger than yours. The only key with GoDaddy is to make sure you choose the Linux option when you purchase hosting. They require that to utilize the PHP necessary to make a wordpress blog work.

I purchased mine a few years ago before I really knew what I was doing and I ended up using Netfirms.com. They have worked out fine thought they haven’t been spectacular. They are $1 more each month than GoDaddy but they also give you slightly more for your money.
