The legend has left the building

I woke up this morning and after I got ready I checked my cell phone and found numberous messages letting me know that Brett Favre has retired. It is a day of conflcting emotions for me. Favre has been, for me anyway, the greatest athlete of my time. I have grown up watching him gunsling his way into the history books. There will be a giant hole in Green Bay due to his departure. Watching the Packers will never quite be the same without #4 behind center.

Micah is a husband to Tracy & a daddy to Grace, Kessed & Haddon. He's Senior Pastor at Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN. Most of all, he's a debtor to grace.

  1. Flags are at half mast, window shades are pulled, the mourning has begun. However, as Packer fans, we are resilient and already planning a run to the Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers as our QB. Tough to say but ya gotta believe.

Micah, I am grateful that you and I had the privilege of watching Brett live in KC. BTW let’s plan a trip to Canton in 5 years!

  2. I’m sure when you posted this, you probably already knew that I would have some kind of a dig to punch you in the side with. But, thats not the case…I really feel sorry for you guys, cause with Brett leaving and all, you really don’t have anything to look forward to next season… 🙂
