Stories of faith and obedience

It almost seems impossible to me that next month will mark our 6th anniversary of returning from West Africa suddenly due to health reasons. Our one year in Burkina Faso was by far the most impactful, lifechanging year of our lives. I love anything and everything I can get my hands on that is about West Africa or from West Africa. I recieved a link to this video today and it is a must watch!

BTW: If you know an SBC-affiliated 20 something guy or gal, the West Africa mission has a fully-funded (insured and salaried) 2 year mission experience with their name on it! (They have a real need for guys especially because in some of the cultures in Africa guys can go places that women are not allowed.)

Micah is a husband to Tracy & a daddy to Grace, Kessed & (soon to be) Haddon. He’s Senior Pastor at Brainer Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN. Most of all, he’s a debtor to grace.

  1. Aw, I love it! They did a great job on that video. I know what you mean Micah…next month will be two years since I returned from WA for health reasons too and that year was definitely life changing. This video is great and even more special to me because I went through training with a few of the missionaries shown and a few others were on my OneStory team. Thanks for putting it on here! 🙂 Love you brother!

  2. Thanks Micah for passing on the word about this video. I just know someone is out there that God is saying to them, “What are you waiting for?” I hope this video encourages them to take that step of obedience!

  3. Miccah, I don’t know you but stumbled across your blog. Thanks for sharing the video. I cried all the way through it. My husband and I know some that are on the video and I believe the Bekah that left the first comment. We were trained with her. We served as pastoral care in Pac Rim for a ISC term. It has been 1 year, 1 month, 13 days, and 6 hours since we returned to the states. Get the picture! Not sure what God has in the future, but once He puts His heart for the world inside of yours…….never the same! Blessings and thanks again for sharing. Kim Day
