PODCAST UPDATED :: Jesus, A Prelude to the Cross

Well, I learned a good lesson this morning, that is to never take NyQuil and/or DayQuil on an empty stomach. I still can only remember about 1/3 of my message this morning. I’m listening to the audio right now to see what it sounds like. I don’t know if I’ve ever been so loopy preaching a message before. Of course some of you would argue that I’m always loopy when I preach. 🙂

If you are interested in hearing it, we’ve updated the podcast site. You can visit it here.

Micah is a husband to Tracy & a daddy to Grace, Kessed & Haddon. He’s Senior Pastor at Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN. Most of all, he’s a debtor to grace.

  1. It sounded fine to me, so the Nyquil doesn’t seem to have produced any real untoward results.

I would, however, caution you never, ever to take a sleeping pill and a laxative at the same time. THAT definitely WILL.

  2. hmmm. So do you think, just perhaps, that God is still trying to get you to trust him more? No notes, loopy……………hmmm. 🙂 I think SO!
I told my husband on the way home, “Man that guy can preach!” But now I know it I wasn’t really you, but the Holy Spirit. We at FBBC are truly blessed!

  3. Just listen to your sermon. Only the second one I have heard from you. The first was your first at FB. I really enjoyed it and wouldn’t have know you were sick if you did address it. I don’t attend your church but a few students from my church do and we have the same opinion of Tammy Carr. “Man that guy can preach!” I look forward to hearing your complete series. I could tell that God was with you in presentation as He was with you in your preparation–I heard Johnny Hunt say that once. Thanks Micah Tom Denton FBC Owensville
