Dr. Frank Page speaks again. In this article, which you can read here, there are some interesting topics that need to be addressed. I am both encouraged, and inquisitive, in response to the article. The questions that I have, in response to this article, are threefold.

1. Who would be trying to “discredit” Page in an attempt to derail his presidency. It would only follow that it be someone who is theologically to the right of Page, as the questions being raised appear to be an attempt to highlight his possible moderate positions. If so, who is releasing documents, or pointing fingers, in an attempt to cause him trouble. We should know, if this accusation is true.

2. If the IMB policies have gone farther than necessary, what will be done about it? He expressed a need to hold our trustees accountable for maintaining biblical positions in regards to board policies. In what ways can we hold these trustees accountable?

3. He maintains that Southern Baptists are heading for “tumultuous days” because it is turning out more Calvinistic pastors than we have Calvinistic churches. I am curious why this need be true? What specifically is inferred by this statement?
