Now to the important news….

I think it’s time for me to take a bit of a break from the ever important writing about those things that God is teaching me through His word, to talk about something essentially inconsequential to most of those reading this site – but oh, so important to me.

My KC Royals are not in last place! I know, all you fans of the Red Sox, Yankees, Angels, Braves, Mets, etc. see this as something to laugh about (and you know, you may be right), but for a team that hasn’t been out of the cellar since 2003 and has lost over 100 games in 3 out of the past 4 years, to see our organization on the rise is a glimmer of hope for an otherwise fruitless team. So – for the time being at least – I’m going to enjoy not being the cellar dweller and look forward to good things coming.

Now if my Packers and Gators can only be strong this fall life will be great!

  1. Micah: You are not alone. My husband is the biggest KC Royals fan on the planet. This would describe his loyalty to the KC Chiefs too. You can take the man out of Kansas, but you can’t take the Chiefs out of the man. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Micah: Baseball is great no matter how bad your team is. I have been a fan of Atlanta almost all my life. That being said I have been a Devil Rays fan for the past ten years. We put a capital L in losing. It is still a great game to watch no matter how bad the team. Besides that your team has a great park to play all that bad baseball in.

  3. Micah,
Be careful. The key to being the fan of a perennially bad sports franchise is low expectations. Believe me, as a Saints fan, these are dangerous days, because you know the light at the end of the tunnel is just another train.
In all seriousness, once again they have some great young talent. But history tells us that what you are looking at is just future Yankees, Mets, Red Sox talent. But enjoy it while you can.

A wise man once said, you can’t spell Citrus Bowl without UT.

As a Gator fan (for many years, I might add) there’s not many valid arguments that can be made against us. We rule the world right now, well at least Ohio that is.
