Iced in

Well, we are officially iced in. Last night we began getting the freezing rain and, at our home, we lost power about 11:30 last night. We spent the night under a pile of blankets with both of our girls to stay warm, and were pretty successful at doing so. This morning my good friend, John Stickley, invited us over to their home where they still have power and a generator. Along with some other friends, we have spent the day here. I went back over to my house tonight and found a leak in the ceiling of the garage and water standing in the basement. We’ll be spending the night with John tonight and then heading back to our house asap in the morning to check out the basement. Pray that our power comes back on. John works for a local electric company and is afraid it may be a few days which would be a big problem for us.

Micah is a husband to Tracy & a daddy to Grace, Kessed & Haddon. He’s Senior Pastor at Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN. Most of all, he’s a debtor to grace.

  1. Micah –

Saw your fair city (under the ICE) this morning in a live news report on the Today show. It’s never good when the networks show up!

We had a very similar situation down here last January….LOTS of ministry opportunities.

We’ll be praying for your family and the whole St. Joe area.
