I wish I wasn't

On nights like this I wish I could just stop being a Royals fan. We’re winning by a score of 8-3 in the 9th inning and we have one of the top bullpens in all of baseball. So, what do we do? Well, we proceed to lose on a home run in the 10th inning. This 10 game losing streak is as bad as I can remember any losing streak in recent Royals history, and that’s saying something. I still love the Royals, but tonight I wish I didn’t.

Ugh.

I’m commiserating with you, Micah. I watched the game on TV last night and couldn’t believe they managed to blow a 5 run lead in the 9th. Ouch!

You’ve got to be kidding. The Royals aren’t actually on TV are they?

My Cardinals are still hanging tough, though with three starting pitchers and the closer on the DL, and with me holding my breath every time Braden L starts a game, it’s enough to make my hair turn white and get thin. Oh–wait a minute–it’s already white and thin…
I’m not a Royals fan, but keep rooting for ‘em. They have a lot of talented young players who’re going to make names for themselves, if KC can just hang onto them.

I didn’t even know it was baseball season until I saw this! I used to keep up with it but stopped watching when I left for college. 10 years ago.

So I took my daughter to her first royals game this past Friday. We were winning for a lot of the game until the Indians passed by us with a 2 run home run. We were down by 1. With 2 outs and a runner on 1st the next batter up hits a long ball to the outfield. The ball bounced off the wall and into the glove of an Indian outfielder. We lost by 5 feet …
