I hope we pay attention

Arizona, Montana and now the Dakotas. What do each of these state conventions have in common? A shared commitment to decentralizing of their state conventions in order to better approach ministry in the 21st century and to help maximize their resources for Kingdom growth. Although the SBC has traditionally been led by southeastern states, it is my opinion that these frontier states are setting the pace which all other state conventions will eventually have to follow.   1. 7 pastors from Grand Crossings Baptist Assoc of mid Missouri and our DOM met with pastors and some of their wives from the Prairie Partners Baptist Assoc of North Dakota before the annual Dakota Baptist Convention last week to discuss our developing partnership.

    We’re excited about our involvement with them and we are excited about the leadership their state convention is giving their churches.

    You are right about some of these smaller conventions showing the way. I just hope the MBC is watching!
