Great article on infant salvation

Drs Danny Akin and Al Mohler have worked together to provide for us a wonderful resource that deals biblically with the topic of infant salvation. If you haven’t studied the topic before I would recommend that you do so now. When one loses an infant to death you will be ill equipped in that moment of extreme emotionalism to adequately research and understand the implications of infant salvation. This is a topic that you need to have a strong understanding of before that event occurs so that you can confidently answer questions and provide loving hope.

We owe a debt of gratitude to these men for this resource.

Micah is a husband to Tracy & a daddy to Grace, Kessed & Haddon. He’s Senior Pastor at Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN. Most of all, he’s a debtor to grace.

  1. That was indeed a good article. I have always gone back to David’s words about he and Bathsheeba’s child, but have wanted to hear some of the great minds hash it out a little. Thanks Micah.

  2. I’ve heard Isaiah 7:14 quoted lot & lots, but never including the following verses:

Isaiah 7:14-16: Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. He will eat curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right. But before the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste.

As I ponder that last part and the only reason I can find that God would point out there WAS a time in Jesus’ life … in the life of “God in the flesh” so to speak .. when He didn’t know enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, is that it makes a difference in our lives, too. That there is some importance to that thought.
