Grading the SBC blogosphere

Well, Tony Kummer has undertaken an unenviable task of identifying the most influential bloggers in Southern Baptist life. He has accumulated a list of 68 blogs that are written by Southern Baptists and often deal with SBC issues and he has placed them into four regionals, much like a Southern Baptist version of March Madness. has been listed in the Midwest Region along with heavy hitters such as Timmy Brister, Art Rogers, David Rogers and Les Puryear. My chances for moving on to the next round are probably slim going up against those guys.

Anyway, it’s kind of fun to watch as the votes come in. If you read SBC blogs you might want to run over and cast your votes. You can do so by clicking here.

Micah is a husband to Tracy & a daddy to Grace, Kessed & Haddon. He’s Senior Pastor at Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN. Most of all, he’s a debtor to grace.

  1. Always vote for yourself. Once, in high school, I voted for the person running against me which backfired when she voted for herself instead of me. She won by 1 vote!
