Good good news…

chickfila.gifToday has been a pretty good day. We had a good time at church this evening. I spent the evening with our students and really enjoyed myself. I’m going to be with them for the next few weeks. I got home, though, and was reading the local news, as is my custom, and came across good, good, good, no great, news! According to this article in our local paper, the St. Joseph News-Press, Chick-Fil-A has announced plans to have a restaurant located less than 3 miles from my home!

For those of you reading who are from St. Joseph and have never had Chick-Fil-A, trust me, CFA is the greatest fast food restaurant in the history of mankind. This is a good day in the life of St. Joseph. I can’t wait, just 4 months and then that delightful food will be available.

Micah is a husband to Tracy & a daddy to Grace, Kessed & Haddon. He’s Senior Pastor at Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN. Most of all, he’s a debtor to grace.

  1. I have been driving my congregation crazy with this news! I’ve missed Chick-fil-a since I left Memphis 8 months ago. I read that it’s 4 months from the time they start construction, so it may be a little longer. I just need a #1 with sweet tea.

  2. While I tend to question some of your associations, this is one which I can heartily endorse!!! It is a happy day when I make it to a CFA on one of the “buy one get one free” Chicken Salad Sandwich days–together with a large waffle fries (not to be confused with the blog owner) and 4 little tubs of CFA BBQ sauce–WOW! It’s almost like heaven except for those times when I get a brownie. πŸ™‚

  3. kmichael-

While I don’t see how it’s possible that any association I’ve made would be a bad one (said with tongue planted firmly in cheek), I am with you on the Chick-Fil-A business! Yeah for Truett Cathy. πŸ˜‰

  4. My favorite part of Chick-fil-A is Truett Cathy. Closed on Sunday so that he and his employees can worship and rest is wonderful and he will tell anyone who stands still long enough to listen. We believe that we should be aware of every dollar we spend and that WHENEVER possible, our dollar goes to further The Kingdom. Doing business with companies that we know support the work of The Father is just good business! Besides – their food is great!!!

  5. Micah – Hello from the ol’ News-Press! I wrote that article about Chick-fil-A under stressful conditions – about an hour til deadline. I’m glad to know it brought joy to someone!
