About Micah

Micah Fries is the Vice President of LifeWay Research in Nashville, TN and is a frequent speaker in churches and conferences. He served as a pastor in Missouri and an international church planter with the International Mission Board. He holds a Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Micah attended The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville, FL where he graduated with his B.A. in Theology. While in college Micah met Tracy, and they got married in May of 2000.

After college graduation Micah & Tracy moved to Burkina Faso, West Africa where they worked as church planters among the Dagaara people of Burkina Faso and Ghana. After planting churches in West Africa, Micah and Tracy returned to the US where they moved to Kansas City so that Micah could attend seminary.

While in seminary Micah began serving as a Senior Pastor, first at Missouri Valley Baptist Church in Halls, MO, and then Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church in St. Joseph, MO. During this time Micah and Tracy became the parents to two girls, Sarah Grace and Kessed Noel. Micah left his ministry at Frederick Boulevard to join the team at LifeWay. Micah, Tracy and their daughters live in Hermitage, TN and are a part of the faith family of Fairview Church in Lebanon, TN.

During his spare time Micah loves to cheer for his favorite teams, the Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Royals, Sporting KC, Manchester United & Florida Gators.
