A useless prediction

Ok, so I’ve already stated that I’m not all that excited about this Super Bowl. Since my Packers lost to the Giants, I’ve lost interest. If I have to pick a team to root for I’ll root for the Giants, in much the same way I root against whoever is playing the Yankees. I really don’t like the Patriots and hope that they lose out on this chance to make history.

Having said that, I think it’s almost impossible that they are denied. I think they are much too complete as a team to lose tomorrow. I also don’t think it’s a close contest. My guess is that the final score is 34-12, with New England prevailing.

Here’s hoping that I’m wrong.

  1. I can almost guarantee you that prediction won’t be right. 12 points for the Giants? About the only way that can happen is through 4 FGs. Make it 10, 13, or 17 for the Giants, and I’ll give your prediction a shot.

BTW, I’m rooting for the Giants too. Unfortunately, that fact alone just about guarantees a win for the Patriots… 🙁

  2. That was the most amazing Super Bowl I’ve ever seen. We’ll be watching highlight reels of it for decades! That scramble by Manning on the winning drive was awesome… but the catch by Tyree? One of the best ever.

    What a game!

  3. “Casey” I’ll admit that my football predictions are pretty shaky. I’m guessing that Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will not have to worry about there job anytime soon.

As to the “liberal emergent church” business, I’m thinking that you’re the one who is “off base”. 😉

  4. John-

I agree completely. I was very pleased to see my prediction come true. You can only imaging how loudly I was jumping around and screaming when Manning got lose and Tyree made that catch. Unbelievable doesn’t do it justice, does it?
