Hosea 3:1, The LORD said to me, “Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another and is an adulteress. Love her as the LORD loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and love the sacred raisin cakes.”

I follow that God’s love for us is amazing… that though we follow our own ways, forsaking Him, he still loves us.
But sacred raisin cakes?
I guess there’s some context for what that’s all about that I’m just not getting.
Well, I’ll have to admit that the “sacred raisin cakes” amuses me a bit too. My original point, however, is that God’s love for the adulterer is beyond impressive. It’s good to be loved like that.
