Genesis :: A New Beginning

October 12th, 2007 by Micah Fries

Below is the video, which I was finally able to upload this evening, of my first message as Pastor at Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church. I’ve had a number of requests for it, so hopefully this will fulfill the requests. You will notice that the video quality is not the best. I did that intentionally to help reduce the file size. I hope you don’t mind.

    Is this a new layout for you? Since I watch your blog mainly through a reader this looks new to me. See ya. I will watch your sermon later. Nice suit :)

    Josh-

    It is a new look. I play with it about every two months. My hyperactivity kicks in and I’ve got to adjust it a bit.

    Thanks for the comment about the suit. I don’t love wearing it but I need to for the time being.

    Wow… faaancy. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen you in a suit before… :)

    Micah, absolutely loved your inaugural sermon. Man, I’m pumped for you … your church … the Church … and Southern Baptists. Keep going strong, bro!!!!

    Good message. The whole idea about if we are just going to church being an “academy” and not a church, is dead-on. In fact it would make a good topic for another message or blog post. It has been nice to hearing a real voice to go along with a face. God bless you there in your new pastorate. I am personally encouraged as a missionary to hear and see this kind of message coming out of those back home. Keep it up!

    great message. God spoke to my heart about many things and about my own ministry here at Mt. Olive. Thank you for preaching the word. It is my prayer that God will bless you and your ministry here at your new place of service. Stay close to him.
