Weekend Worship :: You are God alone

August 31, 2007

This weekend I want to share a beautiful song with you that we sang this past Sunday in worship. “You are God alone” is a powerful reminder of the sovereignty of God over all things. As you think about what makes sense and what doesn’t make sense in your life - remember this weekend that there is none like our God and that His greatness and sovereignty does not disappear in the face of struggle, tragedy or pain.

Isaiah 6:1-3, 1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”

Love the song, and I love it even more in a worship context. I LIKE what you do with these “Weekend Worship” things. Awesome. (I know, that’s modern Christianity’s most over-used word, sorry!)

Taken in a wrong way it could be very ;)

I am reminded of the worship song Above All
